| ~ Yeqon. |
Yeqon is one of the fallen leaders of the Grigori and the leader of the Five Lesser Satans.
Overview[]
Yeqon is one of the ringleaders who tempted the other Watchers into having sexual relations with human women. His accomplices were Asbeel, Gadreel, Penemue, and Kasdaye, all of whom were identified as individual "satans".
History[]
Background[]
Yeqon was one of the chief Watchers whose task was to observe humanity, leading the Grigori Council as a member of the ten chiefs. He was in charge of overseeing the Earth and was partnered with Samyaza and Azazel, acting as a sort of triad in charge of the Watchers.
His lust towards mortal women began when he gained more interest in humanity which allowed him to fall in love with a human woman; some believe that this individual was not actually a mortal, but in fact Naamah, one of the great demon queens, who seduced Yeqon's more malicious tendencies. He, with Asbeel, led all the others to Earth to copulate with human women. He also taught humans wicked arts like witchcraft and how to make weapons.
Slayer of the Storm[]
Yeqon was also one of the few members of the Grigori who actively supported his children's ongoing reign of terror across the Earth. This also led him to oppose any divine interference, including the gods themselves. Yeqon would claim victory over one of the Mesopotamian storm gods Adad who was actively destroying the Nephilim's strongholds and the various dark legions in their disposal when Naamah informed him through Lilith that they have a plan to kill the storm god.
Yeqon of course immediately jumped to this opportunity to rid himself of this nuisance that have been threatening his children. Lilith enlisted aid to Yeqon in the form of Aciel an archdemon who wanted to earn his place among Lucifer's court and would do this by "bringing the head of the storm" before the Morningstar's throne. Naamah lured Adad to the Earth, drawing him towards a heap of flayed burning bodies that engulfed his stormy domain in a plume of wretched smoke. Disoriented, Yeqon drove his sword through Adad's chest which gave Aciel the opportunity to get behind the storm god.
Punishment[]
However, Yeqon's actions would not go unpunished as he, along with most of the Watchers, had been brutally subdued by the Heavenly Host and cast out from the eyes of God in disgust. Yeqon was tossed and chained deep into Earth, shackled in a realm where Heaven's light can never reach, Sheol.
