Angels weaving Creation through God's Fire

Vril, also known as Flamma Reconditus, The Secret Fire, or the Flame Imperishable, was the power of God Himself. It is the primordial and divine holy flame that God used to shape the very fabric of creation itself as well as use it to mold the likes of Adam, Lilith, and Eve from mud.

Vril has been sought after by many individuals throughout the centuries for the purpose of using it for either benevolent or malevolent intent. Its equal and opposite is Shakti, the Flame of Darkness or "Void Fire" used by Azathoth to give 'life' to the Ogdru Jahad.

Description[]

Vril is, according to Lucifer, said to be the fire that shapes that into being. It was from this fire that God used it to make Adam and Eve from mud and clay very similar to how a potter crafts pottery from clay itself using water and heat. Since Vril has the power to create and give life, it also means that Vril is what is able to shape and power a soul itself. Lucifer attempted to create life of his own with the power Vril until God stopped him and forbade him from ever using it again.

When it comes to its relation to Aether, the power that courses through an angel's veins, it is believed that small portions of Vril coincides with the energies of Aether itself. The Flamma Reconditus states that angels have the ability to shape matter itself based on the amount of Vril that resides within them. Angels such as archangels or seraphim, on the other hand, are believed to have larger portions of the Secret Fire within them which explains their enormous power compared to other lower-ranked angels.

Also similarly to Aether, Vril can be used as a method to create powerful weapons although this has only ever been performed once with the result being none other than the Flaming Sword, a blade used by Uriel to guard the main gates of the Garden of Eden and one so powerful it could harm the likes of Lucifer, the Scarlet King, Nyarlathotep, and even Azathoth himself.

Overview[]

The Ab Initio Artifacts were also said to have been molded by Vril when God plunged his hand into the waters of Chaos and began His attempts of shaping by using conceptual factors of creation and destruction together. However, it soon proved to be unsuccessful, in His eyes at least, as the resulting experiment of using both Vril and chaos matter gave birth to the Ab Initio Artifacts. Instead of destroying them, God found a new purpose for them and scattered them across the newly created universe to fulfill their function as cosmic abstraction tools.

Jinn are an especially known race that were said to have created by Vril. This is quite prominent as in Arabian teachings Jinn were said to have been made from "smokeless fire" and given that Vril is categorized as a type of divine flame it is not far fetched to say that Jinn were made from Vril. It is also due to their creation from Vril that Jinn wield immense supernatural power with the Marid, the most powerful type of Jinn, being able to warp reality at a whim but only by the command of a wish from their masters.

Liz Sherman, a pyrokinetic working for the B.P.R.D., is revealed to be a vessel for Vril. Moreover, Liz explains that every time she uses her abilities, she feels as though that the "inner flames" within her are somehow influencing her mind. This could imply that Vril is somehow able to perform actions on its own accord or that its power is so overwhelming that it would be quite easy for Liz to be overwhelmed and allow the fire to burn all that is in its path.
