Vhoorl is a planet located outside of the Milky Way galaxy and the birthplace of Cthulhu.
Overview[]
Cthulhu was born on the planet that would be known as Vhoorl. According to notes found by Morgan Mercer, Vhoorl is believed to reside within a "dark nebula" essentially surrounded by gases and satellites that would destroy any spacecraft and their occupants.
The first generation of Great Old Ones named Nug came to Vhoorl and mated with one of its inhabitants which in turn birthed the dreaded Cthulhu. Vhrool was immediately claimed and horrifically warped by Cthulhu's presence and filled it with the Cthulhi or the Star-Spawn of Cthulhu as they are also known. Eventually, Cthulhu left Vhoorl and made his way to the star Xoth which Vhoorl orbited where he met his androgynous mate Idh-yaa and produced Zoth-Ommog, Ghatanothoa, Ythogtha, and Cthylla.
