Silent Hill

Silent Hill

Silent Hills is an eponymous and mysterious American rural town located in Maine. The town also serves as Baphomet's own earthly kingdom, manipulating the residents to commit various acts of heinous crimes and draw in people with darkness in their hearts.

Description[]

On the surface, Silent Hills is portrayed as what could be considered an archetypal, peaceful, New England tourist town for relaxation. Chiefest among its industries are tourism and, to a lesser extent, agriculture. Initially, it was described to be a small town with a population below 30,000 and its key industry, tourism, is in a state of steady decline. However, it is still growing and expanding and may be considered a city. Some of the town's conservative residents oppose modernization and the transformation of the town into a tourist attraction.

However, Silent Hills is shown to be anything but ordinary. Although Silent Hills appears at a glance to be an innocuous rural town, this has brought about an unexpected darkness of drug distribution. A great number of eerie and odious rumors surround the town, such as Silent Hills being built on an ancient burial ground, and/or being a portal to Hell, people being spirited away, murderers, kidnappers, rapists, sexual slavery, monsters, ghosts, aliens, etc. It being a portal to Hell is the more plausible answer as the town is under the control of Baphomet whose essence is one with the town.

Overview[]

Silent Hills is located in Maine, New England; Maine is the northeasternmost state of the United States of America. Although its precise location was ambiguous for a long time, several hints implied Silent Hills to be in Maine. Silent Hills is somewhat historic for having served as a place of residence for some of the more controversial individuals in the world. Among of which is the infamous Anton LaVey who first gathered his followers who center their faith around Satanism and where he also wrote the Satanic Bible. Another is Aleister Crowley himself who first walked through the Umbral realm to gather knowledge and power.

While on the surface Silent Hills appears as a typical rural American town, it in fact hosts a slew of nightmarish creatures and hellish locations that manifest from the subconscious fears and pains of outsiders. Silent Hills plays host to a horrific paranormal and supernatural alternate realm known as the Umbral though outsiders call it the Fog World, which is home to all manner of nightmarish demonic entities. It is also common to hear air-raid sirens between Fog World and Umbral shifts.

A religious extremist doomsday cult known as the Halo of the Sun lurks about the town, orchestrating their malefic endeavors in the shadows. Adamant for the return of their "god" who is revealed to be Baphomet in order to reach Paradise, the Halo of the Sun has been involved with murder, torture, child abuse, and has even convinced parents to dismember, drown, and set their own children on fire, believing their sacrifices to appease their "God". Sinister traditions and rituals continue to be handed down from a time long ago and are performed in secrecy.
