Shakti being used by the Black Flame
Shakti, also known as the Black Flame or Antimatter, is a primordial cosmic energy that is equal and opposite to Vril the flames of God.
Description[]
Whereas Vril is the divine holy flame used by God to weave and mold creation, Shakti is an energy utilized by Azathoth to dismantle and destroy creation. Moreover, Shakti is said to be a concept that is present in all living beings which in this case is the concept of "evil" itself; although Dr. Hartman believes it to be a form of antimatter. The collision between God and Azathoth would form the diagram of existence around them, and the respective energies which emanated from them, being Vril and Shakti, set the "metaphysical blueprint" ablaze with their fire, introducing good from God through Vril and evil from Azathoth through Shakti or under more scientific pretenses matter and antimatter.
Much like angels, Shakti is also the shadowy power which courses through the Ogdru Jahad and in turn would be passed down to their offspring the Ogdru Hem. Just as angels have the ability to shape matter itself based on the amount of Vril that resides within them, the Old Ones can do the same but more destructive and pervasive compared to angels using the Black Flames within them. Among the instances of the Ogdru Hem using the Shakti, they would bring forth unspeakable monstrosities that darkened the Earth and obeyed their will.
Overview[]
The Ogdru Jahad were the first to be unintentionally created from the Black Flame and were imbued with its darkness that filled them with power and hatred towards the light and its inhabitants. According to the arcane version of the Genesis narrative, as Azathoth violently thrashed in the waters of Chaos, it "spewed forth Black Flames from its mouths" and the splashes of the darkness were caught in the flames that molded the Ogdru Jahad. It is unknown, however, if Azathoth inherently wielded the flames as few believe that they originated from Pralaya herself, the Goddess of the Void.
The Ogdru Hem also wield the power of the Black Flame though to a lesser extent compared to their parents. Nonetheless, small portions of the Shakti within them grants them the power to oppose the cosmic rules set by God and Asherah and create abominable beasts that mock the beauty of the Elohim's own creations.
Perhaps the most notable users of Shakti are individuals who refer to themselves as the Black Flame, named after one of the primordial fires many titles. The Black Flames were once humans that were imbued with the power of the Void Fires, granting them paranatural abilities. However, usage of Shakti proves to be incredibly lethal for the hosts as their entire being down to their very soul is slowly consumed. As such, precautions are taken to where certain hosts are given an armor or suit, made through scientific and magical means, that allows them to harness the Void Fires with little drawbacks.
