Sarah Hughes was an English witch and the biological mother of Hellboy.
Overview[]
Sarah Hughes was descendant of King Arthur, who became a witch and was bound to the demon Azazel, which led her to be condemned to Hell. Fearing the eternal torment, she tried to repent to God on her deathbed in a church, but Azazel came to collect her, as she bore his final son.
Azazel sent demons to retrieve Sarah back to Hell, where she gave birth to a cambion named Anung un Rama. The newborn was taken away by Astaroth and Mammon, who grafted the Right Hand of Doom onto it. The little demon was then hidden, and later summoned to Earth by Projekt Ragnarok.
