I am too big, and you are too small. There is a sea of nothing and islands of light. I am their shore. To you come the monsters. The pounding fists of void. The longing gods beyond our knowledge. I am the lookout. I see the ripples in their wake. You want me to pledge my sight-know to you, only to you, so you, only you, can be greater. Even if you find, restrain, defend. You want me to be yours. That is not why I am here. There are others. Others I assist. Others I warn. Others beyond your thin walls of grey, dry paste-rock. Others beyond the reach of your weary satellites. Others beyond the home, our home. Others I know. Others I love. Others you won't care for. Others that came before. And, over all, others beyond the little walls of rules and bone and laws and flesh and memories and oaths you build around yourselves until you don't even remember them. Others I love. Dearly. And yet, only my brother is an equal to me.
~ Sanna.

Sanna was an ancient primordial entity that was stationed to watch over the Tree of Life alongside the Sentinels of Creatio. However, after the War in Heaven, the former Sentinel known as Khahrahk, now known as the Scarlet King, forcibly took Sanna and was subjugated by him.

Overview[]

Among all the Sentinels, Sanna has been called the wisest and most beautiful of them all to the point where even Lucifer, whom was also regarded as the wisest and the most beautiful angel, showed respect and admiration towards her with Sanna returning the view in kind to the Morning Star. It has also been stated that her goodness would be mourned, suggesting she was a type of heroic figure.

Appearance[]

Sanna was described as being the most beautiful of all the Sentinels and much like Lucifer she shone brighter than her fellow siblings but unlike the Morning Star she held no pride over her position. Sanna's current appearance resembles her former self but with major differences. She appears as a human female of undetermined ethnic group of between twenty and forty years of age. Her entire bodily surface is covered in or composed of a matte black material. Her hair appears to be composed of this material, measures over 34 km long and is constantly pushed away by solar wind. However, this part of her seems to reflect variable amounts of sunlight. Several markings or tattoos are placed throughout her bodily midline. Judging from their brightness, these markings might be of metallic composition and of a golden hue.

History[]

Unwanting Bride[]

After Khahrahk declared war on creation and devoured his fellow Sentinels, he spared only one which at the time was Sanna herself. Sanna attempted to resist the Fallen Sentinel but it was overwhelmed by his power. While few sources say she accepted his proposal to spare the lives of all those in creation, the truth of the matter is that she had not remained in the King’s realm willingly, but her escape had been prevented by circumstance. She obeyed the king with her words, but not with her soul, and for this goodness she was mourned.

With the war declared, Khahrahk took Sanna by force, and lay with her for seven days and seven nights, until she was broken beneath the King. When this was completed, he rose in her blood, and was from then on known as the Scarlet King.

Seven children were born of Sanna, seven daughters of the Scarlet King emerging from her broken womb. The King saw this, and took them by force to be his brides. Upon the seven brides the King put seven seals, so that they might never die as Sanna had died. With them, the King gave rise to seven ranks of abominations, seven orders of Leviathans, who became his most beloved servants, who march at the front of his war.

Revival[]

After her death, the Egyptian sun god, Ra, detected her lingering essence and noticed that it was fading at an alarming rate. Curious, he took hold of her essence, and gingerly placed it into the warm embrace of the sun. A sun spot formed in place around Ra's hand as it was plunged into the flames and when he slowly rose his hand, Sanna's head emerged laid unto the god's palm.

A total of seven sunspots formed in response to the reformation of Sanna within the sun itself with each spot being a part of her physical being, example where one sun spot became her arm, the other her leg, and the others her lower and upper body. The formation of these sun spots also took the shape of a symbol that was familiar only to Sanna. The symbols represent Sanna's "cleansing" of the her defilement at the hands of the Scarlet King, where Ra washed away the areas on her body that the Scarlet King touched.

New Purpose[]

After being fully resurrected, she was given a new name and a new purpose. She also developed a close bond with Ra. Her new name was Sauelsuesor, and her new purpose was to protect the Earth and the sun from any and all incoming threats. She was also given the Chalkydri, angelic beings that roam around the sun, to act as her guardians.

However, Sauelsuesor knows when to stay her hand and when to interfere. The most she could do was an attempt to communicate with Earth's forces, warning them of impending danger. The first known recording of this was when she came into contact with the crew of Apollo 18 via radio communication during their journey to the moon, warning them of the creatures known as the Moon Beasts. She eventually came into contact with the Federal Bureau of Control, and although she could not be captured and contained, she was classified as an Object of Power or PE-179 and became an ally.

Sauelsuesor is fated to die during the End of Days where she gives her life to destroy Cthugha, an Old One who will will envelop the Earth's sun and warping its rays to mutate the landscape of Earth into a hellish paradise for its progeny. Sauelsuesor's battle with Cthugha will darken the sun considerably but in a last ditch effort to protect the Earth, she sends Wormwood to destroy Gog and Magog who will be unleashed to wreak havoc on the surviving populations of humanity during the Blackest Night.
