River Serpents (also known as River Elementals or Living Rivers) are living embodiments of the creeks and rivers that run across the earth.

They were created in the days leading up to the Great Flood, acting as guides for animals along their journey to Noah's Ark and nourishing them with it's sacred waters. River Serpents most often stay submerged within rivers, melding completely within the waters in a way that makes them impossible to detect.
Description[]
When a River Serpent exits the river it inhabits, its body transforms from its pure liquid form into that of a massive serpent covered in shimmering blue-green scales. The serpents will rarely leave river's they've become accustomed to unless the river begins to suffer from pollution. It is known that polluted waters cause harm to the river elementals and as a result river serpents have been known to devour anyone they witness polluting the rivers they inhabit.
Aside from this, river serpents are known to value peace and harmony. The very water which the elementals are composed of is blessed with curative properties, and any who drink from its fluid will become free of hunger for a period of several days, as well as be filled with an inner peacefulness. These effects have a unifying effect on wild animal's, causing various species to be able to gather around the river elemental and drink without resorting to violence upon one another.
