Amaterasu, Shinto Queen of the Gods
The Queen of the Gods is usually the most powerful goddess of a pantheon, and usually the wife of the King of the Gods.
Description[]
They often act as the second highest deity within the pantheon, after their husband, but in some cases they serve as the leader of local deities. The most famous instance of this is the Japanese Shinto-goddess Amaterasu, who became the queen of the gods after the conflict between Izanami and Izanagi.
