Nodens, also known as Nudens and Nodons, is a Celtic deity associated with healing, the sea, hunting and dogs.
Overview[]
Nodens was one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the Celtic pantheon of gods, and was also among the many pantheons that opposed the Ogdru Hem since the dawn of creation, specifically when the Earth was young and new. Nodens himself especially opposed Nyarlathotep, the messenger of the Ogdru Jahad.
He's also the master and ruler over the race called the Night Gaunts, a race of strange flying creatures, who reside in the Dreamlands. At first the Night Gaunts were aggressive and opposed Nodens due to being one of the Elohim though he was superior to them in power and tamed them without effort. Nodens informed his fellow Tuatha that he would use the works of the Ogdru Hem against them. He has many mates but one of the prominent ones is a Great One named Ilyth'la.
