Nihilo Mask.
The Nihilo Mask is not exactly mask, but resembles one. It is in actuality, a prison that was designed by God as a means to lock away the darkness and chaos that existed long before the universe came to be.
Overview[]
Before the creation of everything, God realized that he could not wipe the entirety of the darkness that was around him, due to the fact that it constantly expanded each time He would extinguish it, causing more harm. Thus, He decided to imprison it which soon converted it into a mask. The mask is said to be sealed away in a location where no one other then God and Metatron know of its whereabouts. Eventually, it faded from known history.
Should the mask ever be destroyed, it will unleash Chaos, the primordial void and will return the universe and all that is to the nothingness from which it was sprung.
Description[]
It is shown that the mask is capable of possession should one ever be foolish enough to not only release it, but don it as well. Due to the fact that it houses the eternal chaotic nothingness, it carries obvious sentience and the ability to speak coherently, through its wearer or of its own power. The mask itself is a force of ancient and catastrophic power, having the potential to transform the entire universe, and even destroy it. The Nihilo Mask, when worn, can convert matter to dark matter, and seeks out host bodies in order to draw strength from their life force, energy from living organisms, thereby sapping them of energy in a process that would inevitably prove fatal.
However, it has little to no ill effects when worn by other beings such as angels, albeit ones with great power. Even then, the power of the mask can be too much to bear for it eventually begins to consume that who wears it, with the darkness that is sealed within it assuming control of the host through mind, body, and soul and eventually commands the host to render all life and light to nothingness once more.
