Melchom is a fallen angel turned demon, who serves as the paymaster of Hell, and is known as the demon who carries a purse. He may also be connected to Moloch, a more powerful demon.

Descriptions

Melchom has the appearance of a cat-like demon but with humanoid features. He is said to carry a purse and scale with him at all times.

Overview

Given that he is the paymaster of Hell, it is also believed that Melchom works under Mammon, the demon king of Greed, and is affiliated with Astaroth whom is the General Treasurer of Hell as well. He is responsible for, as well as aiding in, the receiving, holding, and dispensing of funds, commissions, fees, salaries or other trades, loans, or sales proceeds within the sector of Hell and the Order of the Fly.

The funds in question are usually in the form of souls or unearthly gems not normally found within the moral world. He would oversee the process of a transaction of the funds from one demon to another or even from a chthonic god to another demon and vice versa. Melchom also oversees the trading of souls between the fae and Hell.
