Mekhashefim

Mekhashefim, the "Heavenly Contradiction", is the fallen angel of sorcery and oracles.

Overview[]

Before her fall, she was one of 200 angels under the command of 20 heavenly Watchers tasked with overseeing the Earth. The angel was knowledgeable in all the forms of beneficent magic and distributed it to faithful humans of pure heart in their time of need.

Mekhashefim was entrusted with the destruction of all forms of ungodly magic, a task she took to with incredible zeal, slaying all sorcerers or pretender deities that stood before her in opposition to the Lord.

History[]

Background[]

Over many centuries, Mekhashefim oversaw the development of mankind, protecting them from the influence of false deities and demons that challenged the mystical practices approved by God. It was not until the angel was approached by Hecate and Odin, that Mekhashefim first questioned the legitimacy of her role as divine executioner.

The two deities, unappreciative of how Mekhashefim was teaching the ways of sorcery to the human race, implored her to stay her hand lest there would be consequences. They were aware of the knowledge of the divine, but it is important on how it is distributed to mortals that can comprehend it. Mekhashefim only responded with a warning to the two, as it was not their place to judge the will of the Lord.

Fall from Grace[]

Odin, however, saw through that ruse and knew that this no will of her God but her own. Mekhashefim, enraged by such a blasphemous yet truthful statement, attempted to attack the two gods only for Hecate to quickly subdue her with a binding spell. This prompted the archangel Raphael to descend from Heaven and demanded an explanation from the two deities on why they would risk breaching polythea affairs. Upon explaining, Raphael would then take Mekhashefim for questioning and when receiving confirmation from Mekhashefim she was banished and imprisoned in Sheol, but not without swearing vengeance at Odin and Hecate.
