Izalith Academy
The Izalith Academy is an educational institution founded by Harry Dresden, John Constantine and Kiden Nixon. It was created to teach young individuals in the mystic arts, specifically those who inherently have said magic.
Overview[]
The Academy was established by Harry Dresden sometime after Azathoth's awakening and subsequent near-destruction of all creation and its concepts, including magic. According to Zelma Stanton, the grounds the Academy stands on were used as a sanctuary for magic practitioners since before the known history, although the building itself was built in the 1800s.
Moreover, it is believed those very same grounds was were the Witch of Izalith first harnessed her magic under Hecate's teachings. The Academy was founded in order to train the young sorcerers of all worlds in the use of sorcery and magical artifacts. These supernatural adolescents represent different aspects of the world, specifically regions of the world where mysticism and magic reigned in the ancient days and even far earlier than that.
Description[]
The Izalith Academy was named after the Witch of Izalith, the first purported witch in history and the first apostle of Hecate. The building itself is magical in its own right where many rooms lead to different dimensions and with some rooms being a lot larger on the inside. The building is also revealed to be an extension of the House of Mystery, where according to Constantine, he would took a plank of wood, a nail, and a metal bar from the house and with an incantation another house built itself from those three items alone.
The school counted with a diverse ensemble of professors to help the students perfect their abilities, and during their stay there the students could use their magic freely, without worrying about the cost of their spells. In reality, Constantine had struck a deal with Hecate herself, in which the goddess of magic would assure the school unlimited magic, as long as the children were well trained to face an upcoming challenge.
