Ivan Romanov is the head and Bureau Director of the Order of the Silver Cross, a secret paramilitary organization tasked by the Russian government with the protection and security of the country from any and all supernatural threats, and the master of Miguel and his wolf pack. He is much like Integra Hellsing when it comes to running a powerful organization only he is more charming, charismatic, and outgoing.
Overview[]
Ivan Romanov is the descendant of the Russian Imperial Romanov family, or the House of Romanov, whom were tragically slaughtered during an uprising that was secretly concocted by the Scarlet Brood, a group of powerful vampires hellbent on raising Absalom. Due to the image that the House of Romanov left on most of the Russian people, Ivan carries a rather terrible privilege but is eager and determined to make sure that not just Russia, but his associates in the political party, see him as an adept and fully capable leader when handling tasks assigned to him by the Prime Minister.
When he was only twelve years old he underwent through a series of grueling tests to see if he was worthy of taking command of the Order and its soldiers. These tests include leaving him out into the Russian wilderness for approximately a week in total and he must learn how to survive the harsh climates on his own while also attempting to defend himself from the animals. Ivan proved more than capable of surviving and passed, thus he took full control of the Silver Cross along with its mightiest soldiers; the Werewolves.
Appearance[]
Ivan has lightly tanned skin with hazel colored eyes and blackish brown wavy hair that hung to his shoulders and tied into a ponytail. He was quite tall, standing roughly over six feet and two inches with a broad build due to his usual martial arts training routine. Ivan's attire consists of black slacks and shoes, a white buttoned shirt, and blackish blue wool doublet or blazer. Ivan is noted to have a small faded scar running down the right side of his forehead with one family ring on his pinky finger. His facial hair consists of the usual Short Boxed Beard with his mustache slightly curled to portray the traditional depiction of Russian nobles.
Personality[]
Ivan was charismatic, young, prideful, headstrong, and extremely eager but at the same time he was direct, firm, and stern when the situation or circumstances warrant it. Knowing of the burdens and dangers that come with taking control as head of the Order of the Silver Cross, Ivan trained himself mentally and physically for the role of Bureau Director as well as the master of the Order's wolf pack. Despite the iron will he build for himself to properly lead his forces, Ivan is not devoid of humor and slight childish moments himself as he would join in on the wolf pack's teasing towards one of their own and exchange in several witty one liners himself with the likes of Dante or Hellboy. Ivan is also something of a womanizer though to a lesser extent as he would playfully flirt with his assistant Natalia Alianovna.
Ivan is polite, respectful, and very caring for the people he is around and who he considers his friends. So much so that he has a tendency to believe that he failed in protecting the homes of his allies or when they failed a mission in retrieving or protecting an item or a person despite the fact that he was not to blame for any of the misfortunes that transpired. Ivan feels that he is constantly pressured by everyone's expectations of him due to the rigorous training and lectures he received from his superiors and father and that they only expect the best from him. As such, he pushes himself to try be of the best form of aid and support to his allies. Such views on himself added with the hounding of the Russian political party, Ivan is prone to bouts of anger and stress. There was even a time where Ivan believed that the reason why his father was so harsh on him during the training was because Ivan perceive himself as weak, timid, and naive only to understand and accept that his father loved him so much that he was afraid of what might happen to him when the real world is exposed to him.
Much like Integra or Klaus, Ivan is fearless, has been since he was a child, and has carried this trait with him into adulthood. He can be calm, cool, and level-headed even when he is surrounded by a group of powerful werewolves that obey him and call him his master. This calm nature also extends to non-humans, as he would not flinch nor appear the least bit intimidated when facing down hoards of bloodthirsty vampires especially given that his family have been hunting and destroying the likes of vampires and other creatures of the night for generations. He is quite confident and almost always expects a victory in the outcome of their battles though the only time where this wavered was during the Apocalypse as he was shook upon seeing Lucifer and Satan's frightening and dominating power over their forces. While his forces have faced many types of supernatural entities, Ivan can be taken by surprise and shock when he learns of the existence of creatures or individuals that he once thought to be myth and legend such as discovering Derous' true identity of being a dragon and Dante being the son of Sparda. Ivan is quite humble and wise in his own way, and coupled with his tenacity and determination has garnered him the respect and admiration of others, especially his wolves who feel honored to be calling him their master.
