You want me to roll over like a dog? Give up, and accept defeat..Ha! That seems to be the sort of language that your kind is used to using. Language for cowards who forfeited their humanity, because they were too weak to survive as such. Don't look down on humans, you monsters! Come on! I'll send you all to Hell.
~ Integra Hellsing

Integra Hellsing, fully known as Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, is the daughter of Arthur Hellsing, the descendant of the legendary Abraham Van Helsing, and the current head of the Hellsing Organization. A cool-headed, calm, but fierce and determined woman, Integra inspires loyalty and fearlessness to where she could fully control her most powerful servant Alucard.

Overview[]

Born into the prestigious and mysterious Hellsing family, Integra has been sheltered and educated all her life to take the place of her father as Bureau Director of the Hellsing Organization and is the latest descendant in Abraham Van Helsing's lineage. Her father was known to take extended leaves when conducting "business" leaving her in the care of the family butler Walter C. Dornez and at times even Trevor Bruttenholm, the director of the B.P.R.D. who was viewed as a second father to Integra. Integra is also a close childhood friend of Klaus Von Reinherz since Integra's family were well acquainted with the Von Reinherz family.

After the death of her father, Integra was hunted by her jealous uncle, Richard Hellsing, who longed to gain control over the Hellsing Organization. He attempted to kill Integra to inherit the organization only to meet his end at the hands of Integra herself who shot him when she found the corpse of Alucard in the sub-basement, the latter was revived by Integra's blood and slaughtered Richard's agents before allowing Integra the honor of shooting her traitorous uncle. Alucard became her loyal servant until the end.

Throughout the years, Integra has gained quite a reputation as many would know her for her calm and cool demeanour even when faced with extraordinary odds. She is especially known, and feared, for having the complete loyalty of Alucard, the King of the Vampires, and one of the most powerful beings on Earth. Moreover, despite her fierce and iron-willed disposition, Integra is a loyal friend and reliable trustworthy ally as she would face down many threats that would quite easily kill her with no fear and provide resources or aid to her allies that would help them and herself uncover and destroy the darkness that lurks about in the world.

Appearance[]

Integra has creamy brown skin, blue eyes and long blonde hair. She has a tall, thin build, almost to the point of being lanky. Integra's attire consists of a black blazer and black dress pants, a white buttoned shirt, black shoes and a red cravat. She also wears a pair of circular wire-rimmed glasses, and is often seen sporting a dark green trench coat when venturing outside her manor.

Years later after the Apocalypse, her left eye is injured from her battle with the Shepherd during the climax to the point where she adopts a black eyepatch, which she wears under her glasses and her hair has turned white due to her growing age. She also appears to keep a large revolver in a hidden holster beneath her blazer, supplementing it with a more overt Sig-Sauer pistol and a saber when combat seems likely.

Personality[]

A calm and collected individual, Integra handles most situations that would induce terror and fear in the average person with a controlled ease. In most cases, even genuine surprise and happiness, her reactions to stimuli are subdued. While subdued, Integra can still be quite shocked and surprised such as when she first learned of Sparda actually being real, seeing Ivan's Werewolves while initially believing the lycanthropes to be extinct, and more so when she met the angel Immanuel, confirming the existence of angels. Her conduct is very business-like, however she isn't incapable of a bit of humor, good natured and not. Despite appearing detached and cold, she cares deeply for the lives of her men and the friends she gains along the way, such as vowing revenge for her soldiers after their slaughter by the Scarlet Brood. She is also not ashamed to admit when she is outgunned as she is faced with situations that require more manpower, and thus calls upon the likes of Dante to help deal with the Scarlet Brood in London or John Constantine to investigate the string of murders caused by the Abomination of Desolation.

Integra is fearless, has been since she was a child, and has carried this trait with her into adulthood. Though not as overt as the likes of Alucard, there is an intimidating and domineering air about her similarly to Vergil with Dante even jokingly stating that she, Vergil, and Olivier Armstrong would make a room freeze to ice; even as a young girl she could make Sir Shelby M. Penwood bend to her will when he shows hesitance. John Constantine states that there are very few people in the world who rival that air of confidence and fearlessness like her. This character trait is even on pair with the likes of Olivier Mira Armstrong. This fearlessness does not stop at humans either, for she challenges an entire squad of demons after decapitating one of their number. Shortly after, Alexander Anderson looms over her, but she doesn't even fear him, a man arguably as strong as her servant Alucard but with no reason not to kill her. Integra has even boldly faced the likes of Lucifer or even Satan with outward defiance, although admittedly in the beginning she was intimidated by their presence but even knowing what they could do to her, she kept her fears at bay.

While she is a fine example of what a fearless leader should be, Integra is still nonetheless human. While she will not outright admit it, there have been many implications of Integra being at her limit when faced with a situation that is beyond her. A fine example was when the Apocalypse was near its beginning Integra smoked a full pack of cigars in less than several hours and was highly tensed and stressed. Walter, being at her side, said nothing of course but he could note that Integra was overwhelmed but would not say anything unless she was ready to speak out herself. In such situations, she would even question herself regarding the hardest decisions and choices to make when faced with no other solution that will not require blood shed, something she shares with Ivan Romanov. These times of stress could also lead to bouts of rage sometimes, such as when Alucard questions her orders, which she responds to by telling him fervently and angrily that they are what they are and that she is not to be questioned. While seemingly carrying a sense of pride, Integra can be humble as she freely admitted to Klaus during the start of the Apocalypse that she is frightened and she is unsure what her soldiers would think of her as such, until Klaus comforted her by saying that she is only human and it is only natural to feel fear at seemingly unconquerable odds but determination always wins through, something which she bravely expressed during the climax of Lucifer's New World Order.
