The Howling Commandos were an elite combat unit that had been led by William Blazkowicz during World War II.
Overview[]
The team was formed during World War II out from various Allied P.O.W.s after they were rescued, along with 394 other soldiers that were held prisoners at a Thule Society Base Camp, by B.J. Blazkowicz, who infiltrated the base after learning that the 107th was held captive there.
Though loyal to the American Office of Strategic Reserve, the unit consisted of fighters from the United States Armed Forces' 107th Infantry Regiment, the British Military, and the French Resistance. The team also held two or three superhuman/supernatural members which were also P.O.W.s, held captive by the Nazis for experimentation but would later join up with the first enhanced division of the B. P. R. D.
The first mission of the Commandos was to travel to Jürgen Voller's X-Labs in France where Projekt Antikythera was being implemented, swimming through the cesspools to destroy the base while also retrieving valuable research regarding the Nazi's work on the super soldier program known as C24; a biogenetic agent that enhances human genomes to where it completely restructures their DNA, uncovered from Sarkic tomes. However, the Commandos discover a more drastic plot occuring in Isenstadt regarding Projekt Antikythera where he encounters Wilhelm Strasse attempting to build a device to reach the Black Sun Dimension, an extra dimensional realm with power stronger than the atomic bomb.

Combat Unit[]
- William "B.J." Blazkowicz - The team leader of the Howling Commandos and decorated war hero.
- Richard Wesley - A Welsh OSR agent who served in the 1st Airborne Division of United Kingdom.
- Gerald Wilkens - A non-commissioned officer now a renowned captain during World War II in the United States Army. Wilkens served in the 107th Infantry Regiment and a commanding officer of the Commandos.
- Jack Valiant - One of the top British spies for the OSR alongside his wife Jessica Valiant. Sadly, he was the first to lose his life when he sacrificed himself to buy Jessica enough time to escape.
- Jessica Valiant - A British sniper of the OSR and the sole female member of the Commandos.
- Calvin Poole - A soldier serving in the 92nd Infantry of the United States, a segregated unit consisting of mainly African Americans. He would later turn into an American Vampire by way of Pearl Jones and helped in dismantling Project Vampir Sturm.
- Jacques Dernier - A French Resistance fighter who fought against the Nazis in World War II when France was occupied by German forces.
Intelligence Unit[]
- Nina Mazursky - A female icthyo-sapien who operated as one of the OSR's scientists and Set Roth's research assistant.
- Pippa Shepherd - A Polish agent of the OSR with the rank of lieutenant, she served as a nurse and communications officer.
