The Hollow Earth

The Hollow Earth or the Forgotten World is an ancient subterranean ecosystem deep within the Earth, close to its core, populated by flora and fauna that lies undiscovered by humankind.

Overview[]

It is revealed that the Hollow Earth was starting "nuclei" that would attract the material necessary to create the Earth. In layman's terms, it is "inner Earth" that was first made before being encompassed by the "outer shell" that takes the appearance of the regular Earth. The Hollow Earth was the original landscape for the first beastly inhabitants of the planet. However, after Fall of Man, the Banes of Job, the first primordial beasts, forged the three protective layers of the outer Earth around the Hollow Earth. Upturning mountains, raising seas, and warping the weather to incomprehensibly tumultuous degrees, which resulted in the formation of outer layer of the Earth.

In fact, many different ancient cultures across the globe allude to the belief that their ancestors once dwelled beneath the earth where they created a separate civilization from their own and one more advanced than their current prevailing one. The fact that many of these ancient cultures all have this similar motif is possibly not coincidental for even Abrahamic scriptures imply the existence of such a utopia that was beneath the Earth in the form of the Garden of Eden. It is said that the geography of the Hollow Earth actually holds remnants of the Garden of Eden, before it was separated by God, when it overlapped in between the planet and Heaven to become a unified paradise for man and the divine.

Description[]

The topography of the hollow earth widely ranges between the different propositions, with some believing it to also be populated by creatures like dinosaurs and subterranean advanced civilizations like Agartha while others believe it to be filled with vast oceans trapped beneath the ground.

From time immemorial, people have believed that there is another world lying just beneath the surface of our planet. To a number of cultures—the ancient Greeks for one—it is a dark place filled with the souls of the dead. But most of these early beliefs were metaphorical or mythological in origin. Modern science holds that that the Earth is an unbroken series of layers, crusts, and liquid magma surrounding a dense, hot core made primarily of iron and nickel. But not everyone is convinced. In the 17th century, some of the leading scientific minds of the time came up with a new theory—that the planet is actually hollow. This idea has proved incredibly durable.

The most prominent version of the theory proposes that the shell of the Earth is about 800 miles thick, from the outside to the inner surface. Half the planet is taken up by surface weight, and then there’s empty space, and then, something else: suspended in the center of that hollow is an interior sun that is divided by day and night sides.

Near the North and South pole are substantial openings that serve as natural gateways to this hidden interior, even though they are more entrances around the world, smaller in size. Most of the so-called “lost worlds” lie over these entrances, such as Maple White Land in South America, Lagos island in the Pacific, Skull Island in the Indian Ocean, Pal-ul-Don in Africa and Caprona in the Antarctic. Prehistoric fauna, inhabiting these strange lands, comes from the underground world, rather than getting miraculously preserved on the locations mentioned.

Locations[]

Panthalassa[]

Panthalassa is a vast reservoir of water that lies deep beneath the Earth's surface, undiscovered by mankind. It is believed that this subterranean sea has been in existence since the creation of the planet, created by tectonic plate movement which opened a crevice on the surface that caused large quantities of water to spill down and form the sea. Others believe that the sea greatly expanded in size after the end of the Great Flood, when the excess water receded into the hollow earth and poured into the subterranean sea.

Pangaea[]

Pangaea is a region dominated by various megafauna and megaflora that have yet to be discovered by mankind. Many of these species are descendants of prehistoric creatures which evolved to thrive within this deep underground environment in order to escape the extinction events which took place on the surface world.

As a result, species from various era exist here, including giant insects and amphibians from the carboniferous, dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous periods, and Mammals from the Cenozoic and Ice Ages. Bioluminescent fungi are also known to grow in these regions, providing illumination for caves that would otherwise be completely dark. The last settlement of modern humanity, the city of Brückenkopf, is also located here.

Black Pit of N'kai[]

The Black Pit of Nkai is a colossal pit deep within the Hollow Earth where the Old One known as Tsathoggua is said to dwell. Tsathoggua once dwelt inside Mount Voormithadreth in Hyperborea, but left after Apollo destroyed the Voormi civilization, and banned the Toad God's worship. N'kai is also populated by peculiar-sensed beings which have forged great civilizations without any light at all, even before the emergence of the people of Yoth. N'kai is also the source of the multiple black idols and images of Tsathoggua which can be found scattered throughout the Hollow Earth.

Pnakotus[]

Pnakotus was an ancient city once inhabited by the Great Race of Yith. With the coming of man, Pnakotus was buried beneath the Earth by the Rainbow Serpent. Though the bodies of the Great Race have long since perished, their consciousnesses still remain intact as they are stored within Euclidean cylindrical objects akin to that of hard drives used by humans. The early Agarthans discovered the library of the Yithians where they found the Pnakotic Manuscripts.

Due to the fact that the Great Race were collectors of knowledge but have long since passed, the Agarthans would, in a strange twist of fate, continue their work by using said knowledge they collected to help build their kingdom into the advanced civilization it is today while also knowing of beings and events that the society of the upper-world have forgotten ten times over or are not even aware of at all.

Caves of Chthonia[]

Since their expulsion from the surface world, great and terrifying extraterrestrial worms known as the Chthonians have come to dwell deep within the Hollow Earth, though after the Great Flood, very few of these creatures survived. The burrows carved out by these eldritch beasts have come to be known as the Caves of Chthonia and extend all the way into the Agarthan lands, where their expansion is challenged by the Agarthans. However, in some legends, Agarthans were able to tame the surviving Chthonians by using them as transport. Agarthans poised to "ride" the beast as it rolled its open scale towards its highest point could literally mount the worm. As long as the scales remained open, the Chthonian would not submerge. Hooks were then placed towards the front of the beast to control lateral movement.

Nagaloka[]

Nagaloka is a utopian kingdom within the Hollow Earth neighboring the kingdom of Agartha. It was created when the creator deity Brahma decided that the Naga had become too populous on Earth, thus relegating them to the subterranean realms. The kingdom is ruled over by the "greater naga" known as the Nagarajas, who in their centuries of rulership, have overseen the mining of a vast quantities of gems and ores from their surrounding environment, making Nagaloka a kingdom of immense wealth. Though there is no sunlight in these lower realms, the darkness is dissipated by the shining of the jewels worn by the residents of Nagaloka.

Agartha[]

The legendary kingdom of Agartha is said to be located at the Earth's core and is inhabited by an ancient advanced civilization known as the Agarthans. Ancient philosophy states that Agartha was first colonized thousands of years ago when a holy man led a tribe to the underground. The people, known as Agarthans, have scientific knowledge and expertise far beyond that of the people who live on the surface of the planet. Long has this hidden civilization enjoyed advancement of technology at a much greater pace than our own, including gas lighting, railways, and air travel.
