The Gyaa-Yothn are unnatural hybrids created by the subterranean civilization of K'n-yan.
Overview[]
It is written that they serve as horse-like mounts and perform all the physical labor for the people of Tsath. Though carnivorous, they're considered harmless by their masters, as the species has long been enslaved and bred into a state of servitude, with only the small traces of the race's former intellect intact.
It is believed the species was once humanoid in nature, dwelling in the subterranean caverns of the earth and possibly possessing humanlike levels of intellect until they were enslaved by the people of Tsath and transformed into the beasts of burden that they are today, through a cruel and twisted process of selected evolution.
Description[]
The Gyaa-Yoth also possess a single massive horn on their heads which grants them the ability to see when in the presence of other minds, as well as the ability to understand mental commands and speak via a primitive form of telepathy that relies on memories and images to convey concepts. While this horn allows the beasts to locate prey in the darkness of the cave systems they inhabit by allowing them to detect the minds of any who wander near it, this horn also an instrument of enslavement.
It is believed that this horn is similar in nature to the one possessed by the Gnophkeh, and is a biologically implanted enabler for the mind control of those who possess one. This technique is believed to have been created by the Ogdru Hem in order to enslave the mortal races of Earth by molding and eventually bending them to their will.
