The Demonic Paradise Wiki

Gog and Magog are some of the oldest tribes in human history. Some say they were around since the time of Moses but others suggest that they're more neolithic. And neolithic to where they could also be the descendants of Adam. But the point is that when Satan brings down the Caspian Walls and sets them free...it's another layer of the shitstorm we're already in. These bastards will swallow oceans, bring down entire cities, plunder, kill, rape, and devour. They'd storm Heaven itself and kill everything there so they could be the only rightful kings of Earth and Paradise.
~ John Constantine

Gog and Magog, known as the Kings of the Unclean Lands, are the prophesied invaders of Israel and the land from which he comes, respectively; or, in the Christian Scriptures (New Testament), evil forces opposed to the people of God.

Description[]

Gog and Magog are said to be descendants of certain Biblical figures, while some dictate them as being a primal race that abandoned their humanity and are the original descendants of Adam the first human. They had the appearance of humans but were far larger and more bestial making them humanoid.

They were typically bipedal, though a few were quadrupedal, with the limbs and features one would expect in humans; however, they were all deformed to some extent in body proportions (enlarged head, small limbs, etc.). The vast majority of the two tribes had exceptionally wide mouths with an array of entirely sharp (in certain instances), or entirely flat teeth (which was more common in most observed ones).

History[]

Background[]

Some sources direct the origins of Gog and Magog to Japheth, one of the sons of Noah who populated the Earth after the Great Flood. Japheth was believed to have mated with a Gibborim and their union produced the tribes of Gog and Magog which may explain their gigantic sizes. Another, yet somewhat more plausible source, is that Gog and Magog were descendants of the Hyperborean people that were forever barred from the enlightening embers of the Secret Fire thus were condemned to wander the Earth as savage beasts. If that was the case it is unclear as to how they managed to survive the Flood or what their role was during the dark time of the Nephilim.

Whatever the case may be, Gog and Magog were a plague to flourishing kingdoms on Earth. The bible labels them as the Rephaim, a ancient race of giants living in Canaan. Moses and the Israelites first encountered them on their way to the Promised Land, with Moses' spies ridden with fear at the mere sight of them. One of the leading figures of Gog and Magog was a giant called Og who along with his army was slain by Moses and the Israelites.

Gates of Alexander[]

In ancient times, a colossal wall was built by Alexander the Great to hold the tribes of Gog and Magog, in order to keep them away. The height and scale of the wall is unknown but it is believed to reach that of mountains. It is made with blocks and sheets of iron, which is strengthened by molten metal and the tribes are unable to cross or scale it. According to a magi, the reason why they are unable to breach the wall, much less build a scaffold, is because where Gog and Magog stood, the ground was harder than Damascus steel and the "ceiling of Heaven" was exactly at the height of the iron wall so that even the most insignificant insect could not fly over it.

Apocalypse[]

In Revelations, the names Gog and Magog are applied to the evil forces that will join with Satan in the great struggle at the End of Days. After Satan has been bound and chained for 1,000 years, he will be released and will rise up against God; he will go forth and deceive the nations of the world, and eventually destroy the wall or barrier that keeps Gog and Magog away from the modern civilization of the world.

With a great coalition of forces from throughout the world, the army of Gog will invade Israel “like a cloud covering the earth” and will plunder and loot the cities. Magog will drink all the waters of the Earth, and consume the crops of lands, and plunder cities and villages along with Gog. God, however, will send terrible natural disasters that will destroy Gog and its forces. Gog will be destroyed when God brings forth flaming arrows from the heavens that burn the forces of Gog to a crisp, while Magog will die from sores on their necks and a massive "worm" will emerge and devour them. The defeat of Gog and Magog will demonstrate the power of God and restore good relations between God and his people.
