Ghroth.
Ghroth, also known as the Harbinger, the Death Star, and the Bringer of Destruction, is a planet-like Ogdru Jahad. He is famous for causing the destruction of all those worlds that he approaches and is the catalyst of the awakening of the Old Ones.
Overview[]
Ghroth is prophesied to be the first of the Ogdru Jahad to be released from their prison. As such, Ghroth is the herald of destruction for the Earth and humanity, for when Ghroth is released, his melody will result in the awakening of the Old Ones. Their spirits will reach out into the material plane of man, and will take physical shape in response to the melody of Ghroth. Afterward, they will begin to terraform the Earth and pervert the image of man and God's creation to their liking.
Description[]
Ghroth is a reddish-colored planet-like being, composed of various gases, rust, and various metals. It has innumerable protrusions and faults that retract, revealing eyes formed from liquids from underground seas hidden below its surface.
Ghroth is one of the dwellers of the Dark Tapestry. Apparently, he only leaves the Court when he must take the destruction to some star. For this, Ghroth emits a mysterious melody that, although it is imperceptible to many living beings, has devastating effects on the astral bodies that perceive it. It is the so-called "Music of the Spheres", capable of causing countless natural disasters that culminate in the liberation of the Great Old Ones who have been confined to the affected planet. Later, it is these Old Ones who finish devastating the planet and Ghroth can withdraw again to the Court, having accomplished his mission.
