The Eyes of God.

The Eyes of God, also known as the All-Seeing Eyes of the Lord, is a special and extremely unique ability that is bestowed upon individuals, whom become prophets in the process, by either Metatron, Gabriel, or the Angel of the Lord under the command of God.

Overview[]

According to Metatron, since the dawn of mankind the Eyes of God have been routinely, but not randomly, dispersed and bestowed amongst special humans throughout history to monitor certain historical events. As stated before, the choosing of these humans is not random, as those that have the Eyes of God become prophets of the Lord.

Due to the nature and power of the Eyes, many people as well as supernatural beings will attempt to obtain the eyes for themselves. Gabriel describes the Eyes as Heaven's "hidden cameras". The Eyes vary from prophet to prophet, and those who recently wield the Eyes of God become one of the Two Witnesses with the second Witness becoming blind in the process yet is able to "see all."

Powers and Abilities[]

Holders, or the prophets in general, of the 'Eyes of God' are able to see the 'The Truth' of the world. Possession of the eyes gives their wielders numerous abilities including heightened visual senses, allowing them to see fast movements normally impossible for human eyes to follow, or minute details with great clarity, and allows them to clearly gaze both the past and flawlessly predict the future. They are able to see past world altering illusions and perceive an individual's unique aura, such as the scarlet winged aura of a vampire or the beastial looking aura of a werewolf. The eyes also reveal a demon's true name. It is revealed that the Eyes also have the ability to counteract Satan's Eye of Truth.

Eye holders are capable of altering and controlling the vision of those around them, such as switching two people's field of vision, inducing nauseating hallucinations, projecting what the holder sees into the minds of others, and the power over visual illusions in general; this is the reason as to why no one was able to paint a clear picture of what any of the Biblical prophets look like such as Jesus Christ. The eyes also allow the holder to see through another individual's eyes and observe past events that they have witnessed.

The eyes do have their limits, however. Due to the huge amount of visual information that the owner's brain has to take in, it takes weeks for the holder to get used to using them after they are first implanted. Furthermore, prolonged use of the eyes' abilities causes them to heat up to the point where they will start burning the user. If the eyes are damaged enough, they will crack, making their powers unusable until they heal back again. If they are damaged to the point when they cannot be repaired, then they will explode, killing their wielder. In relation to the nature of the eyes unveiling the true nature of things, a wielder who sees an angel's true form through their mortal disguise cannot look upon them for an extended duration of time for it will result in the user experiencing great mental anguish followed by a loss of sanity.
