Elioud

Elioud

The Elioud were the children of the Nephilim that existed during the days of Noah.

Description[]

Much like the Nephilim, the Elioud were described as giants of gargantuan size. One of Noah's sons recalls thinking that there was a nearby hill only to see it was the the back of a slumbering Elioud. What makes them unique is that they are able to alter their size but cannot go lower to the height of a regular human.

Overview[]

The Elioud (also transliterated Eljo) are the antediluvian children of the Nephilim, and are considered a part-angel hybrid race of their own. Like the Nephilim, the Elioud are exceptional in both ability and wickedness. They existed and walked the Earth alongside their parents and held exceptional power over humanity in the place of their forebears.

According to John Constantine, the Elioud were far more dangerous than the Nephilim where he describes them as being capable of dethroning kings and dismantling kingdoms without the need of brute force or angelic power compared to their brutish parents. He also mentioned that even though they aided the Nephilim in their rampage across the planet they were not viewed favorably as their parents would often resort to devouring them out of sheer hunger, malice, or even paranoia over them taking what belongs to them.

It is believed that the Elioud have been destroyed by the Deluge although there is evidence to suggest that they survived for various sightings have been documented by ancient biblical individuals. One documented instance was when they were encountered by Odysseus himself and were known as the Laestrygonians; although the Septuagint depicts them as Gibborim sprung from Laestrygon.

The children of the Elioud children would come to be known as Gibborim, descendants of the Nephilim and grew to become great and powerful kings that challenged the Heavens themselves. Most of the Gibborim settled as tribes like the Anakim or the Rephaite.
