Dragonkin Warrior
Dragonkin, also known as Dovahkiin in the language of the Dragons, are the half-breed offspring of a dragon and a human.
Overview[]
Unlike the majority of half-breeds that roam the Earth, Dragonkin are a very rare breed given that their draconic parents are extremely elusive from the human race. While quite rare, it is not impossible as there have been cases of Dragonkin existing both in ancient times as well as the modern times. Although in terms of both ages, they flourished during the medieval periods but are quite a few in the modern period.
Description[]
Similar to a few half-breeds, it is almost impossible to distinguish a Dragonkin from a human as they themselves appear quite human and are able to walk amongst people undetected. One method of detecting a Dragonkin is their affinity for fire as well as their immunity to it. Another factor is their abnormal strength and speed and lastly, certainly the most notable one, is their eyes illuminating a brilliant fiery red whenever they activate their pyrokinetic abilities and even grow several scales along their arms, faces, or backs.
Dragonkin are exceptionally powerful species of a dragon breed, as they have been known to actually surpass the power of their draconic parent at some point in their life. Even at a relatively young age, they wield enormous power and can manipulate flames in a vast variety of ways. Also like their dragon parents, they are able to utilize the Dragon Install which increases their powers significantly, although like any dragon, they must undergo excessive and harsh training, both mental and physical, to properly use the Dragon Install.
Draconic Combustion[]
However, when their powers manifest as they reach a mature age, they have to undergo a rather turbulent and painful process known only as Draconic Combustion. Draconic Combustion is the equivalent of a human reaching puberty but unlike the latter, the Dragonkin instantly burst into flames and are in a constant state of pain while having no control over their abilities. Their emotions become rampant and too much for their brain to process and if not carefully and meticulously controlled they lose their self-awareness and sanity - turning them into rampaging creatures attacking indiscriminately or driven by simplistic desires from their human selves. Their power is linked to their will and heart, and should both allow them to overcome their urges, they can adapt and use their powers freely.
Dragonkin Generation Type[]
The type of Dragonkin are identified via a term known as "Generation" and the most notably known ones are the Second Generation and the Third Generation; the Second Generation of Dragonkin are born with the ability to manipulate flames while those with the ability to create and control their own fire are known as the Third Generation:
Second Generation[]
Second Generations possess the ability to manipulate and extinguish flames. They can even manipulate the flames created by the Third Generations, giving them a slight advantage in battles. Second Generations are known to be more skilled in the manipulation of flames compared to Third Generations. It seems all Second Gens use their abilities differently in their own unique way, such as some simply turning flames into fire-balls, to some lowering the temperature of the flames to the point they convert it into ice. The abilities they use are unique and somewhat depict their personalities.
Third Generation[]
The Third Generation are group of Dragonkin that have adapted to the Draconic Combustion, and as a result awakened the ability to generate their own flames via a body part or object. As with the Second Generation, they sport higher physical capabilities as well as being more resilient to damage, along with natural immunity to flames. Their powers are unique to where it allows the Dragonkin to generate flames from certain body parts, such as their tongue, fist, or leg, and the ability can be combined with specific types of objects like sword hilts or bubblegum.
