Devil Sword Dante
Devil Sword Dante is the newly formed legendary devil sword of Dante, forged through employing the newfound power of his Sin Devil Trigger, which he awakened after impaling himself with his broken demonic sword Rebellion and merging himself with it along with having to devour the Rebis. The sword is manifestation of Dante's true power.
Overview[]
During the climax of the Apocalypse, Dante was on the brink of death after suffering a fatal wound from a newly restored angelic Lucifer. He was visited by a white and featureless humanoid entity, unaware that it is God, who offers him one half of the Rebis, which is revealed to be the true and complete form of the divine fruit that grows from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The piece that was given to Dante embodies the forces that the latter represents such as fire, the sun, and rebellion. After eating the Rebis and stabbing himself with his broken blade, Dante unlocks his true power, granting him the Sin Devil Trigger as well as a newly forged blade that was presumably created by his own power.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Devil Sword Dante is a blade of enormous power, granting Dante a variety of techniques and powers, and was shown to be more than capable of actually harming Lucifer himself even after he regained his divine status. Furthermore, it was also shown to be able to injure Satan as well after having to absorb Lucifer's power and add it to his own. It's one rival and equal being none other than the Devil Sword Vergil which is owned by his brother, Vergil. Unlike most other swords, Devil Sword Dante is not carried upon his person, rather, Dante seems to summon it out of thin air and into his hand when necessary. This could indicate that Devil Sword Dante is a physical manifestation of his own will and spirit. The sword can split open in the middle, increasing in length, while generating a second blade of fiery red energy which Dante can utilize for more wider-ranged attacks.
Devil Sword Dante's most notable power, however, is the ability to summon glowing red swords similar to Vergil's Summoned Swords, which enhance Dante's capabilities. The swords usually form whenever the blade is split open, and are able to perfectly follow and mimic Dante's own moves while also adding some uniqueness to the way they attack as well. The swords are in perfect synchronization with Dante no matter what other weapon he wields. They can also come in various sizes and numbers and can even be wielded by Dante should an opponent manage to knock Devil Sword Dante from his hands.
When in Sin Devil Trigger, Devil Sword Dante's power is significantly increased to a level where it is able to harm some of Dante's strongest opponents. Every technique and ability in the sword's arsenal is magnified on a colossal scale to where a single stroke of Dante's blade nearly bisected the entirety of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil after it was brought forth from Limbo by Lucifer's power. The demonic power that flows through the blade while in Sin Devil Trigger has shown that when released is able to cleave through the very Earth itself and creating a titanic curtain of power just from Dante swinging down his blade overhead and at one point, had even bisected a mountain top from another swing of his blade during his battle with Lucifer.
