“ | What you are looking at is no mere sinkhole my friend. Do you know what the word "barhout" means? It means "City of the Jinn". You stand before the entrance of their home that was carved from Iblis's fall. | „ |

The Well of Barhout is precisely what one believes it to be, the well that was formed from the impact of when Iblis fell from Heaven after he rebelled against God. However, that only applies to the superstitious.
Description[]
While thousands of people dismiss this story as nothing more than legend, there have been reports that state otherwise. In fact, rumors surrounding the sinkhole have been passed on from person to person around the town where the well is located at the far outskirts. These rumors being is that the well is not only the mark of Iblis's fall, but it is also said to be one of the closest ways a human could ever make contact with the jinn and Hell itself. It is unknown of they are mere rumors or otherwise, but considering that those who have studied the crater were never heard from again, makes these legends all the more believable.
Overview[]
The crater itself has been around for far longer than previously recorded. In fact, it has existed since even the early days of the Earth itself, which fits the timeline of when Iblis decided to rebel against God and was cast out of Heaven as a result. When Iblis fell, he was said to have fallen like "lightning". The crater would then be located in the valleys of Al-Mahara, Yemen.
Ever since its creation, the crater was often considered a "holy" sight or pilgrimage for the jinn, who perform a ritualistic dance of worship to where the Shaitan fell from Heaven as the jinn revere Iblis as their own god. The same can be applied to where Satan crashed atop of his mountainous strongholds on Earth during his final battle with Sparda though the demons make no boast of the battle and only treat it as something of a legendary tale cemented in their history.
