Description[]
As stated before, the Dark Tapestry is the abode of the ancient, eldritch horrors known as the Outer Gods whom are beings of immense power that luckily have thus shown little interest in Earth or its solar system. The Dark Tapestry is said to be a twisted and perverted reflection of the Empyrean which is the true abode of God within Heaven and was likely created as a way to mock and spite Him for his role in their imprisonment within the Outerverse.
Overview[]
Very little is known of the Dark Tapestry other than it is said to be the darkness between the stars where inhabitants of Lemuria believe true madness lies. The few beings able to survive in the vast, cold void of space are too alien for even the gods to comprehend, and present one of the greatest threats to the known universe should they wish to do so.
It is said by the people of Lemuria that should the Great Old Ones ever to devote even a fraction of their attention to this corner of space in the Outerverse, it could very well end existence as gods and mortals we know it. While some crazed cultists and power-hungry arcanists contact aspects of the cosmic beings in the hopes that they can harness their incomprehensible might for their own purposes, none can control the raw chaos these forces bring and destruction and madness are the ultimate results.
