Durante di Alighiero degli Alighieri (c.  1265 – 1321), also known as Dante Alighieri or Dante was an Italian poet, writer, philosopher and demonologist who notably traveled through Hell, Purgatory and Heaven, meeting the souls of the damned and saved, as well as demons, deities, angels and God Himself.

He wrote his experiences down as the Divine Comedy, a three part play that retell his experiences. Besides the play, he also wrote down countless amount of notes describing the afterlife, and the various beings that inhabit those realms, which has served as important lore for all those who investigate the supernatural, occult, demonic or divine.
