I'll always catch you when you fall.
~ Daniel

Daniel is the seventh fallen member of the Grigori.

Overview[]

Daniel was an angel, and the seventh mentioned of the 20 Watcher leaders of the 200 angels in the Book of Enoch, who taught the "signs of the sun" to humans. The name is translated by Michael Knibb as "God has judged".

He was known as the sixth angel in Heaven, the Angel of Lost Souls and The Watchers.

History[]

Background[]

Daniel was an archangel residing in Heaven. Even before he became a member of the esteemed Watchers, Daniel was already one of the higher-ranked angels in Paradise. He was also considered the angel of marriage, the angel of universal love, and the principle guardian angel.

Like all other archangels, he was created and chosen by God to assist humanity through the ascension process because it is believed that Daniel was the one in charge of the gates of Ascension. His position was recognized as much that Samyaza himself eagerly wanted him to be among the Watchers, surely helping humanity carve a course that will lead them to the Ascension. He would guide the most worthy of mortal souls to the cardinal gates that were located at the edges of the world, each guarded by a powerful Watcher.

Fall from Grace[]

As one of the principle guardian angels, Daniel also fought against malevolent and hellish forces that sought to ensnare humanity in its coils. His activities were recorded by the tribes of Noah and his ancestors, to where after the Great Flood they were rediscovered by the ancient Egyptians who then deified him as Horus.

Unfortunately, Daniel was among the many Watchers swayed by the demoness Naamah into mating with human women. Although compared to most of his brethren, Daniel was more benign as he freely taught humanity the "signs of the sun". But this did not spare him from God's wrath since he broke a sacred law specifically brought down by God. Although, despite being chained in Sheol, Daniel received a somewhat lighter sentence.
