Bukavac are mythical beasts in Slavic mythology, believed in it exist in the swamplands of Srem.
Appearance[]
They are described as six-legged monsters with gnarled horns with the appearance of a monstrous chameleon almost as large or perhaps larger than a horse.
Overview[]
They dwell in murky lakes and pools, coming out of the water during the night to prey upon weaker creatures. They are named after the thunderous croaking noise (hence the name: buka - noise) that they emit from their throats, said to be powerful enough to temporarily deafen it's targets before pouncing upon them and strangling them to death.
