Beherits are a powerful demonic stones forged by the seven kings themselves with the purpose of granting a human that has earned their favor into a powerful apostle.
Description[]
A beherit resembles an egg, covered with human facial features arrayed across its surface, giving it a rather disconcerting appearance. While seemingly inanimate most times, on occasion, one of a beherit's eyes may open and stare at an examiner. Furthermore, when mishandled, a beherit may give off notable expressions of discomfort.
Upon activation, a beherit rearranges its facial features, forming a distressed face which sheds tears of blood and emits a low scream before creating a temporal junction. Beherits will also shake and rearrange their features in resonance with the sudden influx of great evil power.
Overview[]
Beherits were made by the great kings of Hell as a means to convert a human who has relinquished the weakness of flesh and morality to be of service to the forces of the Inferno. Beherits are said to have been made by condensing the damned soul of a mortal using Argent energy, diluting all the pain and woe it has endured in Hell, before it precipitates and is crystallized with demon blood acting as an outer shell.
Beherits are bestowed upon humans who are worthy of becoming Shaliahs, with the process usually involving a demon king spilling their blood into the beherit where then the chosen apostle drinks from the mouth of the beherit and ascends into said apostle. An apostle can only activate the power of the beherit if they sacrifice something precious to them. In addition, the apostle keeps the beherit closely knit to them as both a means to show their allegiance to their master and the lengths they went through to achieve great demonic power.
