Anderson Robotics is a paratech (paranormal technology) firm specialized in the production and sale of anomalous machines, by combining magic and technology.

Overview[]

Anderson Robotics is a paratech firm and subsidiary of Logorhythms specializing in the sale of anomalous robots, androids, artificial intelligence, computer programs, and cybernetics. Despite their intentions being to serve their customers, Anderson Robotics has secretly dabbled in criminal activity and coupled with the threat posed to normalcy, is considered by the Federal Bureau of Control as a dangerous group.

Their lethality is shown during several incidents with their products, most prominently are their cybernetically enhanced soldiers who operate under the company's commands while swiftly eliminating any obstacle in their path to achieve the company's goals. In addition, most other conglomerates use Anderson Robotics' products for their own means which consequently traces a disaster conjured by said conglomerates back to a suspected "shadow" subdivision known as Rubicon. However, the firm does not engage in dealings with Gentex though there have been reports of shady dealings being done between the two and right under the noses of others.

History[]

Origins[]

Anderson Robotics was founded by Vincent Anderson after discovering some blueprints from Russian scientist Viktor Petrov, head of the Robotics Laboratory in Facility 3826. Inspired by the discoveries, Anderson, alongside Albert "Phineas" Frostman, founded Anderson Robotics in 1994, based in Portland, Oregon.

The first product of Anderson Robotics was a small droid that managed to record both video- and audio-footage, which also possessed a primitive artificial intelligence. Anderson Robotics started to develop and sell more advanced products, and quickly gained a fair amount of traction in the realm of paratechnology. Perhaps where they truly excelled was in the development of cybernetic enhancements, specifically that of the Peregrine Series, endowing some of the most elite soldiers with powered exoskeletons and high-frequency blades.

Most of their customers are from the world's elite, and in 2014 they formed a distribution partnership with Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd.. Their customers even included the likes of the Global Occult Coalition, likely being the source of at least some of the advanced weaponry the Coalition owns, as well as the likes of Gentex whom are supposed to be their natural-sworn enemies given that Gentex operates on the belief of the superiority of the flesh through Sarkicism whilst Anderson Robotics works on the evolution of flesh through machinery.

Description[]

The current board of Anderson Robotics consist of six members, Vincent Anderson as Chief Executive Officer, Albert “Phineas” Frostman as Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Medea Contos and her son Jason as Heads of Research and Development, Dr. Jeffrey Wilson as Head of Advanced Logic Division, and Isaac Dillard as Executive Officer.

The company also has about 200 employees worldwide, though information about this is sparse. The annual budget of the company is about $750 million. Major production, distribution, and administrative facilities have been uncovered in Oregon, Washington, and California, with recent expansions into New Mexico, Arizona, and Louisiana.

Products[]

  • Amur Series Recon Drone: Small, orb-shaped robots with retractable legs that are capable of climbing sheer surfaces, these tiny drones are approximately 5 cm in diameter. Each comes equipped with video and audio recording capabilities and an active camouflage system.
  • Aplomado Series Facility Defense Unit: An auto-turret standing at approximately two meters in height, with thermal imaging capabilities and four barrels which can accommodate a wide variety of armaments. A self-repairing outer armor renders Aplomado units largely immune to most small arms fire.
  • Gyrfalcon Series Prosthetics: First released for consumer sale in 2016, the Gyrfalcon series consists of cybernetic eyes, legs, and arms with a large variety of parahuman abilities and functions. Unlike other Anderson Robotics products, the Gyrfalcon series is offered almost exclusively to customers of Marshall, Carter, and Dark Ltd.
  • Hobby Personal Android: Standing at 31 cm in height, the Hobby Personal Androids are a series of toy robot prototypes captured by the Federal Bureau of Control during the May 24th, 2024 raid on Anderson Robotics's headquarters. Designed to be assembled and programmed by the user, the skill sets present in each unit is dependent on a series of five personality traits selected by the user during construction.
  • Kestrel Series Domestic Utility Unit: Standing at over a meter in height, and resembling a large black cube, Kestrel units contain multiple arms that can be specialized for a wide variety of domestic uses. Examples have included cooking, cleaning, carpentry, auto work, child care, farming, gardening, and pet grooming.
  • Peregrine Series: Standing at approximately 2 meters in height, the Peregrine series is currently the top selling cyborg series developed by Anderson Robotics. Each Peregrine Series unit is customizable to include skills in both domestic tasks and combat, in addition to an advanced artificial intelligence. In recent years, multiple groups and wealthy patrons have begun using PSHUDs to supplement their security forces. Additionally, PSHUDs have demonstrated an ability to serve as command units for other Anderson products, most notably Aplomado and Merlin units.
  • Saker Series Android: Similar to the Peregrine Series, Sakers are designed to be equipped with an external skin resembling human flesh, allowing them to pass as humans. Currently the only model of android created by Anderson Robotics that it does not offer for public sale, Sakers have allowed for the firm to develop heightened espionage capabilities.
