“ | Edward Grey. You have denied me green fields to burn, oceans to boil, so I curse you with eternal live as torn pieces on the banks of the Acheron | „ |
~ Amdusias curses Sir Edward Grey. |
Amdusias, or Amduscias, is the 67th demon of the Ars Goetia. He has twenty-nine legions of demons and spirits under his command and has the rank of Great Duke.
Description[]
He is depicted as a human with claws instead of hands and feet, the head of a Unicorn, and a trumpet to symbolize his powerful voice. He is also regarded as being the demon in charge of the cacophonous music that is played in Hell, one which sings in praise of Lucifer or Satan's glory. He can make trees bend at will.
Amdusias is associated with thunder and it has been said that his voice is heard during storms. In other sources, he is accompanied by the sound of trumpets when he comes and will give concerts if commanded, but while all his types of musical instruments can be heard they cannot be seen.
Overview[]
Around February 1916 a group of occultists managed to summon and contain Amdusias, hoping to control the demon. This was stopped by Edward Grey, who killed the cultists and send the demon back into Underworld. Amdusias, angered, managed to drag the man with himself down.
As punishment for sending him back to Hell, Amdusias gave Grey eternal live, then tore him to shreds and left him on the banks of the river Acheron.
