Major Alexei Belitrov also known by his codename P-3 or his title the Winter Soldier is a superhuman soldier from Soviet Russia. He underwent biomechanical enhancements courtesy of Facility 3826 to serve the Soviet Union.
Appearance[]
Before he was implanted with an anomalous technorganic organism, Alexi Belitrov appeared as a Caucasian human male with dark brown slicked back hair, a beard, and stood roughly six feet in length.
After his operation, Belitrov's body has been completely coated with a techno organic suit that seems to share a symbiotic relationship with him. His suit consists of chitinous carapace that forms a secondary, exterior skeleton. Compound-lensed eyes giving Belitrov approximately a 270° field of vision and approximately 90° of binocular vision and Earth-tone coloration visually similar to military forest-pattern camouflage.
The suit also possesses what seems to resemble a proboscis similar in function to that of Musca domestica used by the suit to procure nutrients for itself and its host. Colored scar tissue similar in nature to tattoos corresponding to military patches and badges.
Overview[]
Alexei Belitrov was born in the Soviet Union and as a child, he worked as a farmer alongside others. He would enlist himself among the ranks of the Red Army, joining the Allies in their war against the Axis Powers during the penultimate days of World War II. After the war, however, tensions rose between Russia and America during the Cold War era, this was due to America's acquisition of the technology used by the Nazi's to enhance their troops and firepower. Fearing that the United States would use such a power to gain control over them, the Soviet government turned to GRU Division "P" to help them in their race against the United States, with the most prominent being the creation of super soldiers, to compete against America's own cybernetic super soldiers.
Major Belitrov was among the first to partake in Facility 3826's super soldier program but mainly when he was severely injured during the end of the second world war. Both of his hands were broken up to his elbows, his left leg was completely shattered, and he suffered a severe concussion. Dmitry Sechenov, the head of the program, restored his brain activity and personally augmented Belitrov's bones using modern PTA-4 alloys and coupled with dated bioorganic technology created by the Engineers while also equipping him with combat Polymer implants.
Alexi sought to repay Sechenov by becoming his agent and participating in many black ops operations in Africa, Near East, Asia, and even America, earning a reputation as the infamous Winter Soldier. The Major remembers very little of his missions and suffers from PTSD, passionately believing that he is dangerous and unstable. Dr. Sechenov does his best to keep his top agent in impeccable physical and emotional condition.
Belitrov is invited to assist in the rollout of Kollektiv 2.0 at Facility 3826, but he finds that robots massacred most human personnel. Sechenov explains that Viktor Petrov sabotaged the Kollektiv 1.0 node and asks the Major to apprehend Petrov. With his AI partner AM attached to his glove, Belitrov must confront homicidal robots and failed biomechanical experiments while dealing with growing mental instability.
Personality[]
From a young age Alexei was a very patriotic individual, ready to do anything for the Motherland, even if it meant to go through painful unbearable experiences. An experienced soldier and a veteran of numerous battles, Major Belitrov is a rather pensive and gloomy individual, although this doesn’t stop him from making caustic remarks.
Even though he was a honorable man and good friend with his comrades, he had no hesitation in killing his enemies as shown when he ordered to kill innocent refugees, a decision which he would soon come to regret. He valued the lives of his friends over his as he willingly surrendered in order to keep them safe, and expressed great sadness when he was the only one left alive. Alexei dedicated his whole life to the service, and in return, all he was given is deep loneliness and numerous wounds, both physical and mental.
He soon realized that the war was not worth it and came to regret most of his actions such as the executions of the refugees and after finding out about OoP-191, he tried to make up for her by taking great care of her. Despite being haunted by the nightmares of the war Alexei found a way to manage this thanks to his friends, such as the psychologist Friedrich. In fact, aside from his wife Ekaterina Belitrov, only Dr. Friedrich the FBC's psychiatrist, and Dr. Sechenov treated him with fatherly warmth, and the Major pays them back with loyalty and respect.
Powers and Abilities[]
After his accident and being fitted with cybernetic enhancements equipped with Polymer fiber, Alexei's physical capabilities were greatly enhanced. Belitrov's physical strength is enhanced to the early levels of a superhuman condition. The superior strength afforded by his carapice aside, his innate superhuman physical might alone rivalled that of William Blazkowicz, allowing him to use his legs and right arm to deliver strikes of exceptional force that can casually incapacitate and launch his human opponents several meters away, through walls, and knock them out even while holding back; he could crush and dismantle androids with his physical attacks. He is able to harm other enhanced individuals, with blows from both his right hand and legs. The PTA-4 alloys coupled with his cybernetic augmentations granted him strength able to rip open an armored SUV, rip apart androids, and smash concrete by punching it.
The suit also made Alexei's bones and muscles denser and more resilient than a normal human's. Belierov even managed to survive a fall from immense heights into the Danube River in the Swiss Alps that his comrades believed to have been fatal. Further experimentation by Dmitry Sechenov greatly fortified his physique; to the extent that he routinely leaps from significant heights onto hard surfaces and lands without any apparent injury. Belitrov's speed is tremendously enhanced beyond the peak of human potential, moving into the early levels of superhuman condition. His speed allows him to stay ahead of androids with a slight head start, and match Blazkowicz's speed in combat; countering his attacks and delivering his own.
Alexei Belitrov is an extremely skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, excelling at improvisation and weapons handling, making him one of the best fighters ever produced by the Soviet Union. He employs mixed martial arts that include elements of systema, karate, boxing, muay Thai, Krav Maga, and kali. Originally, Belitrov was a three-time Soviet welterweight boxing champion. Later, Belitrov received vast training from GRU Division "P", as well as the United States Armed Forces. Combined with his enhanced physical abilities, Belitrov became an extremely dangerous killing machine who can slaughter dozens of enemies alone, take on and even overpower highly skilled martial artists such as the Twins, Shana O'Hara, and Leon Kennedy with relative ease.
