Al Ahmar ("The Red One"), also known as Abu Mihriz (Arabic: "Father of the Attainer"), or Abu Ya'qub, is one of the Djinn Kings of Jinnestan.
Description[]
This djinn king is depicted as a frontal figure with multiple heads, the only common attribute being the sword in his hand. However, another illustration shows a second depiction of Al Ahmar called Tarish sitting on a lion and biting the body of a snake.
Overview[]
Al Ahmar is said to be the ruler of Tuesday and the red planet Mars. He is associated with the color red, the metal copper or red mercury and is monitored by the angel Samsama’il. He is one of the leaders of prince Morrah, a son of Iblis that commands his father's army. He is also said to lord over the Quareen, a race of spirits related to the Jinn.
He is known as the Lord of the Blind and Mara-Samya, which means the blind (Samya) lord (Mara) in Aramaic, because of his extreme violence and because in his rage he strikes without regard.
