These Gods... these so-called rulers of man, they're nothing but frauds, liars and killers. They're but children given too much power and praise, fueling their ego and narcissism, causing chaos and death wherever they go without a care in the world, like happy go lucky pigs, yet they demand worship from mortals despite the atrocities committed, they're all narcissists. They're worse than monsters, they're worse than witches, yet they have the audacity to call themselves Gods.
~ Aciel

Aciel is an Archdemon that is ranked as one of the Electors of Hell, monitored by the Archangel Raphael, he is an "ensnarer" and one of the seven planetary demons (Saturn).

Overview[]

Aciel, who dwells in the bowels of the Earth, must be invoked three times before he will appear, and will only do so in a magical circle prepared especially for him. He moves and acts as quick as human thought. Able to give riches to his summoner, Aciel will instantly bring forth items from a great distance.

He has the power to affect the economy as well as the ability to cause earthquakes. He is able to give riches to his summoner, Aciel will instantly bring forth items from a great distance.

Appearance[]

His appearance greatly varies, usually he will resemble a tall monstrous demon with reddish skin, four horns on each side of his head, and multiple yellow eyes. His legs resemble that of a bull, with not as much hair and has a leathery skin, with a short tail, and four bony protrusions on his back.

His other known appearance is that of a gigantic bull hound with flaming horns, with demonic runs on his ribs and neck, and at the end was a tail longer than his body.

In his human form, he appears as an attractive man but stands only about three feet tall.

History[]

Background[]

Aciel was once an ordinary demon that resided within the 7th Circle of Hell. Like most demons, Aciel was instrumental in manipulating humans to worship him and his ilk as deities, falsely misleading them to commit heinous acts of violence for the sake of bringing bountiful harvests and good health. However, like said demons, Aciel would be intercepted and punished by the gods themselves who took great insult in having their followers sully their names and image.

From such encounters with the divine, Aciel developed an immense ambition to bring ruin towards the divine as well as his willpower in having resisted punishment from the divine. It was because of this that he was greeted by Lilith, the great demoness who had also suffered under the hands of Heaven. Upon inquiring her on what she wanted and why she visited him of all people, she answered “Because you and I have history with gods and heaven...a tragic one at that”.

She released him from the shrubs and vines that bound him, then led him to Pandemonium, the place where all demons seek counsel. There, he was greeted by the Seven Kings of Hell, lead by Satan, and Lucifer himself. Lilith recommended that he should be given a high position seeing that his ambition alone was enough to impress her despite being a lone demon. The Dark Prince, both impressed as well as sympathizing with his plight, would grant Aciel a place of power among his infernal legion but must prove himself worthy of doing so. Aciel boldly proclaimed that he would bring him the head of the storm before his throne and while the other demonic lords scoffed Lucifer took him up on the deal.

Elector of Hell[]

And sure enough, Aciel found the right deity to be used as a token of acknowledgement; Adad. This was during the precipice of the Great Flood where the hosts of the heavenly realms prepare to eradicate all malignant forces underneath the thumb of the terrible Nephilim. Adad was a cur against Lilith and her brood as he would destroy the likes of the Turok-Han and their lesser the Rabisu with his stormy fury. Seeing the danger Adad posed to her vampiric children as well as it cutting off her overflowing supply of damned souls through the actions of her children, Lilith had Naamah seduce one of the Watchers known as Yeqon and enlisted the aid of Aciel into killing Adad to prevent the god from destroying her children.

Naamah lured Adad to the Earth, drawing him towards a heap of flayed burning bodies that engulfed his stormy domain in a plume of wretched smoke. Disoriented, Yeqon drove his sword through Adad's chest which gave Aciel the opportunity to behind the storm god. Staying true this word, Aciel served the head of Adad to Lucifer during a great feast in his palace. The Morningstar expressed newfound respect towards the archdemon and promoted Aciel as one of the great Electors of Hell.

Personality[]

Aciel was ambitious and impatient. He believed strongly in the superiority of demons, and that they were beyond ordinary beings. He was cruel and quick to anger, but was also quick in his duties and commands.

He holds a very deep contempt and hatred towards any and all deities. In his view, all gods are either barbaric or useless and should be purged or humiliated. At the same time, he is still presented as being partially in the right, as many deities do exist who are exactly as worthless and uncaring as he says they are (Zeus or Set being good examples), and because of this, he was determined to destroy the major deities of their respective pantheon.

He does show great respect and care for Lilith and Lucifer, who had been wronged by the man upstairs himself, a deity in particular, and arguably the most flawed of them all. He felt that all the sinners of hell wouldn’t even be here if the Gods, Monotheistic or not, had helped the poor souls instead of sitting on their thrones watching them from above. He most especially hated the angels who blindly do anything for God.
