A.R.D.A, also known in it abbreviated term "Advanced Resonance Development Authority", is an intergovernmental organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world.

ARDA was established in 1955 after Lawrence Koch, President of the United States of America, announced the existence of LIM technology and Dr. Ophelia Turner's achievement in the creation of said technology in a country-wide broadcast. What the public was unaware of was that LIM technology harnesses enormous amounts of energy that was secretly extrapolated from the corpse of a being known as Pangloss discovered in the Olympic Peninsula.
Within the Olympic Peninsula, ARDA set up the borders of what they dub as the Olympic Exclusion Zone, slowly clearing out civilians within their vicinity under the pretense of national security. The study and potential usage of the anomalous energies would become among ARDA's prime objectives and in conjunction with LIM technology, provide particle accelerators and other infrastructure needed for high-energy physics research.
Time Travel[]
Arguably, however, ARDA's magnum opus was the discovery of time-travel. This was when Dr. Clay and Dr. Cristina Turner were running an experiment in the Well, and using LIM technology to stabilize the rotating mass of the singularity called a Kerr Black Hole which upon collapsing would create an Einstein-rosen bridge or a temporal tunnel depending on the frequency. Initially, Clay and Turner discovered it by tuning the frequencies of the LIM tech in a microwave or what they call a "PhoneWave", essentially becoming the first known time machine.
Naturally, this would project would become a target of foreign countries, notably Russia who deemed that such technology would greatly benefit the nation and sent Colt Vahn of GRU Division "P"'s Science Division to infiltrate ARDA, become a member of the Oppy Gadget Labs, and divulge the schematics detailing the functionalities of LIM technology towards GRU Division "P".
